Introduction

The purpose of this study is to see how treatment with the medication BGJ398 affects people with Tumor-induced Osteomalacia (TIO). If you qualify and agree to participate in the study, you will take BGJ398 by mouth every day. You will be asked to come to the NIH Clinical Center for 8 or 9 visits over a nine-month period. During these visits you will be asked to participate in several tests and procedures, including four questionnaires, as described in the protocol consent.

Questionnaires:
You will be asked to complete four questionnaires using a computer (or a paper version if you prefer written material or if the computer version is not available). It should take you less than an hour to complete all questionnaires. The questionnaires will be completed at the following protocol visits:

  • Baseline (Visit 0)
  • Follow-up visits every four weeks (9 Visits)

The questionnaires are:

  • 36-Item Short Form Survey Instrument (SF-36)-asks questions about your overall health.
  • PROMIS, Pain Interference–asks questions about your pain
  • PROMIS, Fatigue–asks questions about your overall tiredness
  • PROMIS, Mobility–asks questions about how well you move
